CEO & Founder
Michael Ayoniyi, Africa’s leading serial tech entrepreneur is founder and Chairman of over four leading tech companies across verticals in the ICT sector. He is a most distinguished African ICT personality with numerous awards and recognitions to his credit.
He pioneered e-Commerce, Desktop Publishing and Computer Graphics, the first locally assembled and internationally certified computer brand, Biometric revolution for elections, WiMax, ICT products & solutions distribution, amongst others in Africa.
For his incisive entrepreneurship and as a pride to modern Nigeria, Michael has been honoured by two Nigerian Presidents with highly coveted National Awards; namely the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) and ICON of HOPE Award in 2003 and 2001 respectively by President Olusegun Obasanjo. Also in November 2019, President Muhammadu Buhari honoured him with the National Productivity Merit Award (NPOM) for his sustained leadership in the area of Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
A first-rate Indian trained economist and Forbes BEST OF AFRICA LEADING TECH ICON award winner with over 60 national and international awards, including four Doctorate degrees (Honorary) to his name, Michael has remained in the forefront of enthroning digital democracy, inspiring many budding entrepreneurs and promoting gender empowerment in Nigeria and beyond, while also touching many lives through the Michael Foundation.

Johnson Bassey

A thoroughbred entrepreneur by nature and from the largest integrated technology business family in Africa, Johnson started out in the trading business early in life before his undergraduate studies. At the age of 22 and barely a few months after his graduation, he launched Yudala, pioneering the first composite (online and offline) e-Commerce company out of Africa. The start-up, which had a staff strength of over 250 employees, was an instant success.
A gifted, creative digital native, Johnson was responsible for the negotiation and strategic acquisition of SharpMarket by Loval Technologies Ltd. from erstwhile owners, Naspers and AB Kinnevik in 2018. He was also instrumental in leading the team that oversaw the successful merger of the operations of Yudala and Konga a few months after, birthing arguably Africa’s biggest composite e-commerce platform
Cerebral, ambitious and a multiple industry award winner, Johnson boasts vast experience in business development, strategic planning, operations and execution. He has also acquired cognate experience in Logistics, Retail, Distributions and Solutions over the years in structured technology and FMCG companies, such as Ashour Corporation FZE, Dubai; Infotech Trade Services Ltd. UK as well as TD Africa and Zinox Technologies Ltd., Nigeria. A global citizen, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Economics, Politics and Entrepreneurship from the University of Lancaster, UK. He has also undertaken Senior Management programmes at the Lagos Business School and Harvard University etc.
Johnson has earned many awards including Disruptive Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2017) at the Titans of Tech Awards (2017); Icon of Human Transformation Award by NANS; The Future Awards for Business Excellence as well as Top 100 Most Influential People of African descent (MIPAD) in response to the proclamation by UN General Assembly resolution 68/237, among others.
